Every child is a different kind of flower, and when all together, make this world a beautiful garden!
We know that every child is unique! With that in mind, we provide a nurturing daycare/preschool that stimulates each child with a fun and educational curriculum.
Kid’s Club Child Care Center is a non -profit child care center and preschool that provides part-time, weekly or monthly child care for children ranging in age from 8 weeks to 12 years. Preschool is offered September through May in coordination with the Columbus Schools’ schedule on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 8:30-11:30 am. The program focuses not only on Kindergarten readiness but following directions in a large group environment and development of social and emotional skills as well; before and after school care as well as transportation to and from Columbus Elementary; the children get the opportunity to interact with the “Grandma’s and Grandpa’s” at the Meadowlark Assisted Living complex where they perform songs, hand out their “art creations” along with hugs; weekly field trips to the County Library during the summer months to participate in their Summer Programs; community field trips; fun in the sun at the local pool for the school-aged kids and trips to the Stillwater County 4-H Fair.
Funds raised through Columbusmtgives.org be utilized for at Kid’s Club: Monies raised through Columbusmtgives.org will be used for upgrades to our food service areas, replacement of some of our outdoor play equipment and some will be added to savings with the goal of purchasing a new transport van. Our current van gets us where we need to go but the climate control systems no longer work and are not repairable.
Testimonials
My son has been cared for by Kid’s Club since 2019. We have enjoyed sending him full-time since then for daycare, 3-year-old preschool, and now 4-year-old preschool. He will continue on for another year of preschool next year, and likely for after-school care once he moves on to Kindergarten. My husband and I both work full time as veterinarians in Absarokee and make the 40-minute roundtrip trek twice daily to bring our son to and from Kid’s Club. We add that much travel time to our days because of how much our son benefits from his time there. Our son has grown leaps and bounds in terms of his academics, as well as emotional and social maturity thanks to his time at Kid’s Club. Our family cannot possibly overstate our appreciation for the wonderful staff that works so hard to create a warm, positive environment for the kids of Stillwater County.

It was a difficult decision to have our daughter go to daycare. The thought of her spending more hours a day with others, instead of her parents was heart breaking. We of course did what everyone does and asked around town about local daycares. Kid’s Club came highly recommended from parents whose kids were grown and gone to currently enrolled kid’s parents. When we went and toured Kid’s Club, we knew we were in a good place and our daughter would be well taken care of.

Now after watching the way our daughter has blossomed over the last 4 years; we know we made the right decision to have her spend her days at Kid’s Club. Not only has our daughter’s development been a top priority to Shannon and her team. But the compassion and knowledge that they possess has been evident throughout the years. But the most important to us is loving way our daughter talks about her teachers, the excitement she displays when it is a “daycare day,” and the friendships she has made.
Our daughter attended both of the preschool options that kid’s club offers. Both classes were wonderful and thoroughly prepared her for the next step. They also instilled a love of school in her heart. What parent doesn’t love that!
We also appreciate the way Shannon and her team make us feel valued and that our family is truly important to them. We feel that it is evident in their communication, we have never had any questions big or small that go unanswered.
Our experience at Kid’s Club was one of the best decisions I made for my child! I was fortunate to be able to choose to be a stay-at-home mom after years in the workforce. I was excited to be able to do “home preschool” with my child. I planned a fun curriculum, and we began!

Less than a week into our “home preschool” adventure, my child says, “Can I please just go to a real preschool.” She craved socialization. We choose Kid’s Club after checking several preschool options. Even though the preschool was already in full swing, they enrolled her.
My child excelled in the preschool curriculum – preparing her for school success! However, the socialization where she learned to make friends, work together, help each other, how to handle conflict, accept others, and so much more will have lifelong impacts.
It is heartwarming to watch those connections made in preschool root into a sense of community and belonging.
I enrolled my kids at Kid’s Club because my family knew Shannon, the director. They knew that with me going back to work- this would be the absolute best place for them to go- and they were right. The staff has always been incredible to my children. They come home each day with stories about the fun they had. When we had our newest addition, the staff put me at ease leaving him there by sending photos and giving me a detailed report everyday about how he did. Two of my children have gone through their preschool program and the knowledge they came home with after only a few hours a few days a week is amazing. They’ve helped potty train, provided new and interesting meals, and taught my children more than I can say. Knowing my babies are in safe and loving hands each day I go to work is a tremendous blessing. You can tell Shannon and the rest of her staff pour their hearts into that place every day. There is no where I’d rather send my children on the days, they can’t be home, than Kid’s Club.

Our boys love Kid’s Club! We’ve had preschool and regular day care with Shannon and the ladies. The boys come home well fed, happy, and asking when they’re going back! Thankful to have them in Columbus!

When we moved to town & needed to find a daycare center for our son, Kid’s Club came highly recommended. As a new mom and this being the first daycare, I was very nervous. Shannon and all the caregivers were great at easing my mind. They care for all the children as if they are family. They always text updates especially with the newborns which for a working mom is a life saver. Kid’s Club teaches the kids through play & makes sure they are hitting all milestones. They are extremely knowledgeable regarding child development and helping each child individually with their unique needs. Kid’s Club is an invaluable asset to families throughout the community. During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, as a registered nurse in the community, Kid’s Club was essential to allowing me to help respond. Kid’s Club was incredibly accommodating of both a rapidly changing schedule as well as adapting to the changing regulations. Kid’s Club continued to be able to care for children with attention to safety & health during a difficult time.
