The week of November 3-9 is children’s reading week, in the spirit of encouraging more readers, Friends of the Library is hosting a Read-a-Thon with a concluding celebration at Down Home on the Yellowstone on November 9th from 10am-2pm. Finish up your reading goals, get a popcorn treat, and enjoy time with fellow readers! Friends of the Library will also have fun prizes in store! With the Read-a-Thon the library is hoping to raise money needed for the plaques needed for “library box” to officially be on the Little Free Library map! For all 8, the cost will be roughly $400. The library currently has 6 boxes placed throughout the county, with one more on its way. Stillwater Billings Clinic (by the rock snake) and the Absarokee Lending Library are active locations to find your next favorite book.
